My favorite place in the morning (open at 8:30 am, *and* has a newspaper, only place in San Telmo with the latter quality) it polarizes the opinions, again as for the “Chips”, it is either love it or leave it:

Some people call it the “bar of the crazy”, and probably there is a grain of truth in that, as you will find a strange but charming mix of people there, from elder ladies holding their morning “press conference”, over bands of construction workers that have their coffee or their lunch, and last also a lot of the foreign residents that stay here most of the year.

The coffee is probably the best you will find in the village, food is of traditional home made Mallorquin cuisine: Great Fish Rice and Paellas stand out, also Frito Mallorquin is of excellent quality. With a daily 2-plates menu for around 9 Euros the prices are the lowest in the village.

It is truly a bar of the village and for the villagers: Both Tamara (morning) as well as Marga (noon til afternoon) make you feel at home in a very personal way, after your first encounter with them you will probably become addicted and come back often.

My rating in detail:

  1. Food Quality: 3
  2. Dishes and Presentation: 3
  3. Service Quality: 4 (recently)
  4. Cleanliness 3: (improving recently)
  5. Price/Quality Relation: 5
  6. Ambiente: 4
  7. Toilets: 2

This makes it a total average of 3.4 = 3 stars in the rating system of this site
